The Ithaca Police Department is seeking the assistance of members of the Ithaca Community in making Ithaca a safer place to work and live. This Tip Line has been established to provide community members with an avenue to anonymously provide information to the Ithaca Police. If you are a witness to a crime or have information regarding a specific crime or on-going criminal activity, you may report this information to the police without fear of being identified.
EMERGENCIES OR CRIMES IN PROGRESS should be reported immediately by dialing 911 or calling the Ithaca Police Department directly at 607-272-3245.
You may access the TIP LINE by dialing 607-697-0333. There is no caller ID for this line and you will remain anonymous unless you decide to have your identity known. Your call will be answered by an Investigator when possible or you may leave a message on the answering machine. You may also provide information by email at email@example.com. **Please note that this site is maintained separate and apart from any city sites. Your email tips will be kept confidential.
In certain instances, a cash reward may be paid for critical information that has been provided. Citizens contacting the TIP LINE hoping to receive a reward will need to speak with an Investigator to be assigned a reference number. This number will be required for future contact and reference.
PROFILED CASES The Ithaca Police Department is requesting your assistance in identifying suspects regarding current unsolved cases. Your information may be critical in solving a major crime. Can you help?
